Held up in rear - nudged along from over 1f out - headway final furlong - never dangerous (jockey said - regarding running and riding - that her instructions were to ride forwards of mid-division - but - having jumped slowly from stalls - she was unable to obtain this position and therefore settled towards rear of field; she continued that from an early stage she felt mare was unsuited by the ground - which she felt was riding loose - adding that she felt mare was unbalanced on the undulating track; trainer confirmed instructions and reported that mare had yet to win a race for him; he further stated that horses run for the rider even if it sometimes looks like she is lacking in vigour in closing stages; vet examined mare post-race on two occasions and found her to have a cut on her left-hind leg - an aggravation of a previous wound)(tchd 20/1)
