Prominent - went second before 1st - led when pushed along before 2 out - ridden when went clear before last - kept on well(op 7/2)

Prominent - lost position when not fluent 8th - pressed leaders after 3 out - pushed along when reminders home turn - went second towards near side 2 out - kept on well run-in(op 11/8)

Jumped right on occasions - held up in rear - jumped slightly right and pushed along briefly 4th - headway into midfield before 9th - nudged along after 3 out - keeping on before 2 out - went third run-in - never near to challenge (stewards inquired into running and riding; jockey said that he was instructed to drop his mount in - get him jumping and do the best he could; he further added that his mount jumped novicey early on before getting into a nice rhythm on the final circuit where his mount was outpaced when the leaders quickened up the pace on approach to the straight; he also added that his mount jumped right over the last two fences and stayed on one-paced to the line; trainer said that he was very happy with the ride and the performance of his charge considering it was his first run over fences; he also added that his charge has jumped right on some of his previous runs and hadn't been getting home; vet said gelding was found to be post race normal; samples were taken for analysis; having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence - the stewards noted the explanations offered but advised jockey to ride with more vigour in future)(op 7/1 tchd 17/2)
