Towards rear - pushed along over 3f out - good headway on outer to lead over 1f out - edged left and hampered rival but kept on well final 110yds (trainer's rep said - regarding apparent improvement in form - that although the going on this occasion was officially Good to Soft - Soft in places - it had been drying out rapidly and the colt had benefitted from his two previous race starts against this inexperienced field - whilst also appearing to have been suited by a step up in trip from 5 furlongs to 6 furlongs and 212 yards)(op 7/1)
