The jockey stated her instructions were to drop in and settle the gelding at the back of the field - keeping him on the bridle for as long as she could. She added the gelding was keen due to the slow pace and when asked for an effort turning out of the final bend in back straight - he failed to pick up as she had expected. The trainer stated that he agreed with the instructions but added as there was no pace - the gelding appeared to be keen.
