Windsor 1 6f Shane Kelly Rae Guest 4 1:14.90 0.3 9-12 40/1
Tracked leaders against near rail - ridden over 2f out - edged left under 2f out - hung left final furlong - pushed out and went fourth final strides (jockey said - regarding running and riding of gelding -his instructions had been to jump alertly from a good draw and then either make the running or take a lead and from then on do his best - adding that he was mindful of gelding having been off the track for 193 days. he further added that after jumping well - the gelding could not go the pace of the leaders and he therefore tracked the early pacesetters - before asking for an effort approximately 2f out. he continued that when putting gelding under pressure he had blown up and then hung left-handed in the closing stages - a fact he had reported at scales. trainer's rep stated that the ride accorded with the instructions given by the trainer earlier in the day and both he and the trainer were satisfied with the ride given)(op 28/1)
